My Utmost for His Highest

지금은 이름도 잘 생각나지 않는 사람이 몸과 마음이 지쳐 축 쳐져있던 나에게 힘을 내라며 건네준 글이다.
정말 많은 힘이 됬었다. 곱게 프린트해서 침대 맡에 붙혀놓고 읽고 또 읽었더랬다.
흰 바탕에 검은색 점들로 이루어진 글씨가 사람의 마음을 움직이고 위로를 주는 건 두고봐도 신기한 일이다.








We tend to think that if Jesus Christ compels us to do something
and we are obedient to Him, He will lead us to great success.
We should never have the thought that our dreams of success are God's purpose for us.
In fact, His purpose may be exactly the opposite.
We have the idea that God is leading us toward a particular end or a desired goal,
but He is not.
The question of whether or not we arrive at a particular goal is of little importance,
and reaching it becomes merely an episode along the way.
 What we see as only the process of reaching a particular end, God sees as the goal itself.
